BIOGRAPHY

Pamela Matlack Klein has been a published writer since the second grade. Prior to the advent of the Internet, she published primarily in professional journals in the fields of geology, botany, and coastal studies. Since 1998 she has been writing and publishing online in a large variety of venues, many under her by-line.

She has written by-lined articles on raising livestock, natural dying, cheese making, beer brewing, wine making, weaving, gardening, soap making, cooking, natural history, and Davenport Arabians. Since 2002 she has written a weekly column for the Appomattox Times-Virginian, Living Along the Appomattox, which deals with a diverse range of subjects.

She perfected her research and editing skills while working as a research associate for a non-profit research foundation in south-eastern Florida.

Pamela lives with her husband Bill, also a writer, on a farm in Appomattox County, Virginia. They raise Davenport Arabians and keep chickens, ducks, and cats as well as raising much of their own food.

When not writing, Pamela enjoys gardening, working with the horses, spinning, knitting, and sculpting in clay and stone. She is fairly well-traveled,having spent time in the Carribean, South and Central America, Europe, and Mexico in addition to visiting over half of the 50 states.
